"This project was chosen as the best design by the Faculty Division Chair, reimagining the HCC hallway water fountain wall with HCC’s color palette, premium materials (Daltile, Wilsonart, Sherwin-Williams), and creative design. It prioritizes ADA accessibility, durability, and sustainability, ensuring an inviting and functional space for all."

“The fountain wall design integrates the elegance of interior design principles with artistic expression. Using a carefully curated palette of purple, gray, and cream, the tile composition creates a sophisticated and calming atmosphere—key elements in contemporary interior aesthetics. The eagle motif, subtly woven into the design, symbolizes strength and vision, much like how interior spaces are designed to inspire and uplift.
The selection of materials, including smooth and textured tiles, mirrors the layering techniques used in interior spaces to enhance depth and tactile interest. Positioned as a focal point, the fountain wall serves as a seamless transition between architectural form and artistic storytelling, much like an interior feature wall that anchors and defines a space.”
